                              Kevat  (means  spring in finnish)

Kevät-shawl can be made in almost any yarn, remember to use a bit bigger needles to make sure that yarnovers are clearly visible. I  used 150 grams of Idena Silkegarn to my scarf, 100 grams would have been enough for a little hankerchief scarf but I wanted a bit bigger.

INSTRUCTIONS

Begin by casting 3 st, knit  them.

row3: Knit 1 st, make 1 new st, knit 1, make 1 new st, knit 1 st

row4: knit all sts

row5: knit  1, make 1 , knit 3 , make 1 , knit 1

row6: knit 3 st , purl 1 ,knit 3 st

row 7 : continue as shown in pattern, always remember to KNIT the first and last three stitches. The repeats are wery easy to remember and this shawl can be made any size you want, just keep on going as long as you fancy. When the scarf is high enough, knit 3-5 rows and bind off very loosely. Block  by pinning the damp scarf on a flat surface, let dry over night.
